laid back people watching

bohemian rhapsody no.2

A trip up north to Malacca did do me good.It somehow changed my perception
of how life is without the hustle and bustle of cars and carbon monoxide fumes.
Infact, I love Malacca. It’s everything which I’d like to be in.
It’s like being in Greenwich in NY, and the Bay Area in SF minus the gays.
Imagine Paris and Rome at night but with the night market and lots of chinese.
Ok, more like Thailand minus the sexual harrasments.

Laid back, chill, bohemian, hippy and a great place to get inspired. Being there
really did take me back into a time.It was authentic, most of the art galleries
and cafes were a mixture of quaint bohemian and contemporary styles all mixed
up into one large melting pot.I’d love to have a shop or a gallery café there,
as in on jalan tun tan cheng lock one day. It’s most definite a place where
I’ll be going back again and again…well maybe two more trips
there would be enough.

Goreng pisang as to nyonya kuih
Its true. You know how in Selangor you see goreng pisang stalls everywhere
you go? Well, in Malacca you see nyonya kuih stalls instead. Not to say
everywhere but almost on all corners of jonker’s street. It’s cheap and taste
100x better than the ones you get here, I mean hheeelloo Malacca has baba
nyonya and Portugese influenced cooking and that why it is simply AWESOME
to have a foodie road trip.Im not going to describe how it taste like for there are no
words to describe it.You have to go there and taste them yourself. It’s just an hour
and a half drive there,if you consistently keep your speed at 140 kmph, that is,
which is fairly decent.
